MP have had a tremendously successful Formula 2 race weekend in Spain!

Not only did they unexpectedly win yesterday’s Feature Race with Nobuharu Matsushita’s epic drive, they have won today’s Sprint Race with Felipe Drugovich!

Starting in 18th place on Saturday, Matsushita’s fortunes were with him as teams and drivers negotiated the Spanish summer heat, difficult tyres, and Safety Cars.

His Instagram handle says it all:

I’m a dreamer. Never give up!

Being in the right place at the right time ensured a win for the Japanese driver, much to the delight of team members!

MP Engineer, Enzo, sure was delighted yesterday!

Today, though, he was playing it cool.

Matsushita had every reason to celebrate after such a messy race.

Yes yes yes ❗️ Bottom to the TOP🏆 P18 to P1, Mega pace during the first stint which gives us big confidence and of course luck was with us today but I’m happy to take it !! Thank you to the @officialmpmotorsport for all the hard work.

Drugovich started in second place on the grid on Sunday’s Sprint Race, after finishing in seventh the previous day.

He turned his second place into a win, to put the icing on MP’s Spanish Flan.

Leading every lap from Turn 1 he left the field way behind in his tracks, as they battled with tyre wear.

An ecstatic Drugovich posted:
